Source: www.broncos.com.auBen Hunt and Corey Norman will begin their campaigns for the Broncos' no.6 jersey by partnering each other in the halves this weekend.
Hunt will play five-eighth and Norman halfback against the North Queensland Cowboys at Redcliffe's Dolphin Oval on Saturday night.
Another candidate for the jersey vacated with the retirement of Darren Lockyer is Luke Capewell, who will start at hooker.
Capewell is also likely to see some time in the halves against the Cowboys.
The Broncos have named eight players with NRL experience in their team, including Scott Anderson, Dale Copley, Dane Gagai and Dunamis Lui.
Former Cowboys Nick Slyney, who player with Redcliffe in 2011, will get a start at second row.

Source: www.broncos.com.auThe NRMA Insurance Broncos have today completed negotiations with Luke Capewell, with the two parties agreeing to terms on a one-year deal.
The Queensland-born youngster, who has previously played NRL football with South Sydney and is currently with the Gold Coast Titans, will provide some solid utility value for the larger Broncos' squad.
Broncos' head coach Anthony Griffin said Capewell would prove a handy acquisition with his ability to fill several roles.
"Luke is an elite young player - he has played over 30 NRL games and only turned 22 this year," he said.
"He can play anywhere from halfback to fullback so he can certainly fill plenty of positions for us."
Born in Charleville in south-western Queensland, Capewell made his NRL debut for the Rabbitohs at just 19 years of age in 2008, playing for the club until the end of the 2010 season.
He will complete the 2011 season with the Titans.
Capewell has signed on for the 2012 season and will begin training with the Broncos when the next pre-season gets underway later this year.
