Three changes for London ahead of Castleford clash

London Broncos Head Coach Rob Powell has made three changes to his 19 man squad for this Saturday's Stobart Super League fixture against Castleford Tigers at The Twickenham Stoop.

Tony Clubb, Dan Sarginson and Karl Temata all return from injury. Clubb has recovered from his dislocated jaw while Sarginson has been named in the 19 man squad for the first time this season after an operation on his wrist in the close season. Temata makes a welcome return after suffering a knee injury in the pre-season friendly against Catalans Dragons.

Kieran Dixon, Omari Caro and Ben Bolger are the three players to make way.

Shane Rodney remains unavailable for selection.

Powell commented: "We're very happy to welcome Tony Clubb, Karl Temata and Dan Sarginson back into the squad. Clubby and Karl add size and go-forward while Sarg is clearly an exciting player who will be looking to build on last season's performances because he adds a lot of spark."

Wilkes clobbers Clubb

Last weekend saw Cumbria taking on England in a hard hitting game for the Gary Purdham Memorial Trust, ending 18-18.

Quins RL's big guns Oliver Wilkes and Rob Purdham played for Cumbria, coming up against centre Tony Clubb who played the full 80 minutes for England. As Wilkes attacked, Clubb put in a mighty hit on his Quins RL team mate but came off worse as the two players clashed heads. Clubb sported a black eye in the bar after the game and was disappointed to see Wilkes had come off unscathed.

The two friends had a laugh about the incident as Clubb patted Wilkes on the back and said: "I can't believe you haven't got a scratch or anything after I knocked you backwards."

Wilkes gave a wry smile in return and told Clubb: "That's what happens when you mess with Oliver Wilkes."

Both players remain friends off the pitch and turn their attentions to forthcoming international duties.
