Source: www.giantsrl.comThe upcoming fixture against the Warrington Wolves this Saturday 18th February (Kick Off 4:45pm) will see Eorl Crabtree in line to make his 300th career appearance.
Eorl made his debut for the Huddersfield Giants against the London Broncos on 13th April 2001 and has since gone on to make 284 appearances for the Claret and Gold along with making fifteen England International appearances including the 2004 European Nations Championship and the 2009 and 2010 Four Nations. The Huddersfield Giants' iconic front-rower is pleased to make the milestone and believes that there is many more to come;
"Yes I am really happy with 300 games, I never thought I would get to that stage, you see a lot of players go through the 300 mark but I never thought I would be one of them. It has come round pretty quick and I still have a few years left in me yet, so it is slightly worrying, it just makes me feel really old."
Crabtree has featured in cup finals, played against teams with big names and reputations but those aren't just the memories that stick in his mind;
"Beating teams such as Wigan, Leeds and St. Helens here at the Galpharm always stick in your memory but so do games against the likes of Hunslet, they aren't as big a name of some clubs but I remember scoring in the corner against them, that doesn't happen very often. I have some good memories of playing in games where I have enjoyed myself and played well and others where the whole team has played really well."
The feat hasn't gone unnoticed and Head Coach Nathan Brown believes Eorl is a perfect role model for younger players and that he has still got time on his side;
"It's a great achievement to play the amount of games Eorl has played front row and the fact that he is still pretty young means he will add a lot more games to the tally. He has started the year really well and with a fair number of players out in his position he has set a great example for the younger players. He lives a good lifestyle and works hard he is definitely a good role model for the club and for young players."
Why don't you be there to witness the achievement of Crabtree's 300th career appearance when the Huddersfield Giants return to action at the Galpharm Stadium on Saturday 18th February 4.45pm when they take on the Warrington Wolves.

Four Huddersfield Giants players have been added to the England train-on squad following Huddersfield's elimination from the Engage Super League play-offs at the weekend.
The Giants quartet - Danny Brough, Eorl Crabtree, Leroy Cudjoe, Luke Robinson - are joined in the train-on squad by Melbourne Storm's Gareth Widdop, who ended his domestic season after Melbourne's loss to New Zealand Warriors in the NRL play-offs.
All five players will join up with the train-on squad from next week as England coach Steve McNamara continues his preparations ahead of the Gillette Four Nations tournament, which starts next month when England take on Australia, New Zealand and Wales.

England start their Gillette Four Nations campaign on Saturday October 29 when they take on Wales at Leigh Sports Village (2.30pm) with tickets priced at just £10 adults and £5 concessions.
The tournament moves to Wembley Stadium on Saturday November 5 when Wales face New Zealand at 1.00pm before England clash with Australia at 3.30pm.
England's remaining game against New Zealand will be played at the KC Stadium in Hull on Saturday November 12 (6.00pm) and tickets are priced from £20 adult and £10 concession.
The 2011 Gillette Four Nations final will be played at Elland Road, Leeds on Saturday November 19 (6.00pm) and tickets are priced from £20 Adult and £10 concession.
