Cudjoe signs new two-year deal with Huddersfield

Huddersfield Giants are pleased to announce that talented youngster Leroy Cudjoe has signed a new two-year contract keeping him at the Club until the end of the 2010 Super League Season.

Leroy Cudjoe was delighted to sign the deal:

"I'm delighted to sign up with my hometown team for the next two years. I am proud to have broken into the first team this season and have worn the Claret and Gold shirt with pride. The set up at the Club and the quality of the squad will allow me to continue to learn and become a better player."

Giants Managing Director Richard Thewlis commented:

"This is more good news for the club in terms of its forward planning and retention of local young talent. Leroy has earned his new deal with commitment, coupled with hard work and is highly thought of and liked by everyone at the club. He has a superb exponent of full back play in Brett Hodgson at the Giants next year to help his learning curve and I am sure that we can all look forward to watching him develop his career in the Claret and Gold."

Giants joint Head Coach Kieron Purtill said:

"This is excellent news for Leroy and the club. He is a lad with tremendous potential, who can continue to make a positive impression in Super League for years to come. He possesses all the skills, he reads the game well, can pass, kick and also kick goals. If he keeps working hard there's no doubt he has a very bright future ahead of him.

"What's also good about this announcement is that it shows the pathway from local amateur level, through to the Giants Academy and up into first team is highly successful. It should show youngsters playing the game what can be achieved."
