Catalan Dragons have signed former Hull KR hooker Ben Fisher for the first two months of the new season.
Fisher, who turns 31 the day before the Catalans' opening Stobart Super League fixture at Bradford Bulls, joined Championship club Batley after being released by Rovers at the end of last season but Bulldogs coach John Kear has agreed to the loan deal.
The Australian-born Scotland international, who made 124 Super League appearances in five seasons for Hull KR, will provide cover for the Catalans' regular hooker Ian Henderson after the French club lost Eloi Pelissier and captain Gregory Mounis to injury in last Saturday's friendly against London Broncos.
"We felt we needed an experienced hooker to partner Ian Henderson over the next two months," said Dragons coach Trent Robinson.
"I value Ben's ethic as a player and as a person and know he will settle quickly into our system.
"A big thanks to Batley where John and Paul (Harrison) were understanding and very helpful in the process."

Former Hull KR hooker Ben Fisher has signed with Batley Bulldogs for the 2012 Co-operative Championship season.
The 30-year-old Sydney-born Fisher made 124 appearances in Super League after helping Rovers win promotion in 2006 but was not offered a new contract at the end of the 2011 season.
"There have been a fair number of high quality, established Super League players who have taken the step to the Championship and Ben's one of them," said new Batley coach John Kear.
Fisher played for Sydney Roosters, North Sydney Bears and Halifax before joining Hull KR and represented Scotland in the 2008 World Cup.
