Source: http://www.hullkr.co.ukHull Kingston Rovers winger Peter Fox will join Wakefield Trinity Wildcats on a three-year deal from the start of the 2012 season after the Robins agreed to let him return to his former club.
The Wildcats recently approached Rovers with the view to signing Fox and after discussions between the club, player and his agent it was agreed that the England international would be allowed to leave with a year remaining on his contract.
26-year old Fox has spent four seasons in east Yorkshire after joining from the Wildcats in 2008 and has been the red and whites top try scorer in three successive years.
His form at Craven Park earned the former York City Knight seven caps for England, with the flying winger scoring one of his six international tries in the 2009 Four Nations Final against Australia at Elland Road.
During his time at Rovers Fox has so far made 104 appearances and crossed the whitewash on 55 occasions, including a hat-trick in his 100th appearance that came against the Wildcats in July.
Fox admitted he will be sad to leave Craven Park but that he is ready for the next chapter in his career.
"Being at Craven Park for the past four years has been a great experience and my thanks go to the support of the players, backroom staff, directors and, particularly, a great set of fans," said Fox.
"Having been the club's top try scorer for the first three campaigns, this season has been a disappointment, being in and out of the side and discovering that Rovers were willing to release me from the last year of my contract.
"The Wildcats were my first Super League club and it is exciting to make a return when they have just been granted a new Super League licence, are rebuilding the side and have ambitions to build a new stadium."
Rovers Chief Executive Mike Smith thanked Fox for his contribution to the club during his four seasons.
"Peter has been a very good player for this club and gained international recognition for how he has developed during his time with us," said Smith.
"I'm certain he'll want to finish the year strongly and help the team get into the play-offs, but on behalf of everyone at the club I'd like to thank Peter for his contribution to Hull Kingston Rovers during his time at the club and wish him well in the future."

Source: www.superleague.co.ukEngland winger Peter Fox turned in a stunning performance to help Hull Kingston Rovers end the punishing Easter schedule on a high with a comprehensive win over second-placed Warrington Wolves.
Fox set up two tries before scoring two of his own, the first coming with the scores level at 16-16.
Rovers maintained their spot in the play-offs with a result which keeps reigning champions Leeds Rhinos out of the top eight.
Warrington lost prop Garreth Carvell to injury with just six minutes gone, but quickly overcame that setback to open the scoring three minutes later through Richie Mathers' third try of the season.
The full-back appeared to have taken the wrong option when electing not to pass inside to Richie Myler after bursting onto Scott Grix's pass, but he shrugged off the attentions of Shaun Briscoe and crashed over.
The score put the home side on the back foot and they were in real danger of conceding again until Fox got them out of trouble with a mazy 60-metre run which eventually led to them levelling the scores.
After Warrington conceded two quick penalties, Ben Galea found the space to send Kris Welham into a gap and the in-form centre had little trouble in grounding his seventh try in four outings.
Rovers then hit the front with 28 minutes gone courtesy of a stunning try from Ben Cockayne.
Fox again played a pivotal role, bursting through to race 60 metres before Josh Hodgson, Michael Dobson and Welham combined to send Cockayne bouncing in at the corner.
Justin Morgan's men were now in a groove and they notched another fine score four minutes later, with Briscoe flying over after Dobson and Chaz I'Anson had broken clear.
Warrington stuck with their hosts, though, and were rewarded with another try on the stroke of half-time, with Matt King burrowing over from close range after a Paul Wood offload.
Wolves forward David Solomona was placed on report as the second half got off to a scrappy start, before Warrington drew level with 54 minutes on the clock.
Myler's 40-20 kick paved the way for the score, which went to winger Chris Riley who claimed his 13th try of the season in the corner after Myler created the room for Ryan Atkins to supply him.
Rovers hit back almost immediately with Fox getting the score his industry deserved as he took in Clint Newton's superb one-handed offload.
If Fox's try dented Warrington's resolve, then Matt Cook's score with 15 minutes remaining ended their resistance.
The forward was in the right place at the right time to ground Dobson's deflected kick, before Fox burst through for his second, after which a brawl ensued behind the posts.
Dobson put the seal on the win with a late penalty, his sixth goal from seven attempts, before Chris Bridge was sin-binned for Warrington.
