Source: www.bulldogs.com.auThe Bulldogs have today signed front-rower Michael Hodgson to a two year deal (2009-10).
A veteran of almost 150 first grade games Hodgson's experience will complement the youth of Jarrad Hickey, Ben Hannant and John Kite who are all seen as long-term prospects for the Club.
With a reputation for consistency and a strong training ethic, incoming coach Kevin Moore says he expects Hodgson will be a valuable addition to the side.
"We'll be looking to Michael for his leadership on and off the field, helping our younger boys to lay a good platform up front," Moore said.
"He's a no frills style of player - he goes forward, misses few tackles and is good at the ruck and we're looking forward to welcoming him to the Bulldogs next year."

Gold Coast coach John Cartwright has made one change for Saturday's important clash against the Warriors with Michael Hodgson returning to the front row.
Hodgson was forced out of last week's victory against the Wests Tigers, but Cartwright has showed faith in Hodgson who was originally named on the bench by bringing him into the starting side with Anthony Laffranchi moving back into the second-row and Gavin Cooper drops back to the bench. Clint Amos is the unlucky player to miss out with extra pressure now being placed on hooker Nathan Friend to play close to the full 80 minutes.
Preston Campbell remains at fullback after being moved there late last week for Chris Walker and Josh Lewis who came into the side as a late replacement keeps the five-eighth position.
The Warriors have an imposing home record and the Titans have to win at all costs to keep their Finals hopes alive.
