Warrington have announced their second major signing for the 2007 season with Great Britain International Paul Johnson leaving Bradford to join the Wolves on a three-year deal.
Johnson who joined the Bulls from his home-town club Wigan Warriors in 2004, has not played for them since May because of injury and illness and is out of contract at the end of the season. Johnson is the second major signing for Warrington following the prized signature of Great Britain and Sydney Roosters enforcer Adrian Morley.
The 27-year-old has played in five Grand Finals during his stints at Wigan and Bradford and was a member of Bradford's World Club Challenge-winning teams in 2004 and 2006. He is the sixth member of the Bulls' 2005 Grand Final-winning team to leave Odsal for a fresh challenge.
Johnson said,
"I am really looking forward to it, I've enjoyed my time at Bradford, but it is time to move on and I am looking forward to coming here. Warrington's a team that's on the up. The Club wants to win trophies, like I do. It would be great to come to Warrington and get in to a Grand Final.
"My personal goals for next season are to do my best; I pride myself on giving 100% every week. My team goals are that I want to win trophies; I don't want to be sat bottom of the table or sat outside the 6.
