Source: www.manlyseaeagles.com.auManly veteran and co-captain Jason King will celebrate his 200th game in maroon and white when he squares up against the Gold Coast tomorrow night in front of a loyal home crowd.
The 31-year-old, who was born in Manly and played his junior rugby league for the Belrose Eagles, had long dreamed of becoming a Sea Eagle and earned his start in first grade in 2001.
"As a young fella, I didn't think I'd ever play at Manly at all," King said.
"So to get the opportunity to play for this great club and then to play so many games is something I hold very close to my heart."
Tomorrow night, King will join the likes of double centurions and Manly legends Cliff Lyons, Steve Menzies and coach Geoff Toovey.
"It's a fantastic achievement for a player, particularly a front-rower, to play 200 games at any one club," Toovey said.
"Another local boy getting his 200 up. He should be very proud, I know his family's proud of him and I hope he'll have a good game."
To mark the milestone, junior Sea Eagles members will form a guard of honour as "Kingy" leads the team onto Brookvale Oval.
The Sea Eagles will also use the Round 7 clash to celebrate "bush footy" and reinforce the Sea Eagles' commitment to supporting rural communities.
The Sea Eagles will wear maroon and yellow socks in celebration of all NRL players who originated from the bush, including co-captain Jamie Lyon (Wee Waa) and halfback Daly Cherry-Evans (Mackay).
Two bush footy teams (South Dubbo Under 9's and West Wyalong Under 10's) will be our special guests, running onto the field with the players before kickoff and playing a mini exhibition match at half time.
Adding to the country flavour, one of the biggest names in Australian country music, Travis Collins will help fire up the Brookvale crowd, performing his big hits as part of the pre-game entertainment.
The Sea Eagles are also proud to have Royal Far West as the official Charity Partner for the match, an organisation offering free, specialist health care to kids from country NSW.
The Sea Eagles have had a long association with Royal Far West, assisting them with fundraising and making regular visits to the kids.
Royal Far West will have a team of volunteers at the game, collecting donations and selling raffle tickets.

Stewart has been named at fullback, and Foran at five-eighth, replacing his brother Liam, who returns to the NSW Cup team.
Co-captain and Sea Eagles stalwart Jason King will play his 200th NRL game in front of the home crowd on Saturday night.
