Source: www.hullfc.comSamoan prop Hutch Maiava has been released from the final year of his contract.
Maiava, who joined the club at the beginning of last season from Cronulla Sharks, was contracted until the end of the 2008 engage Super League campaign.
Hull FC has taken this action for disciplinary reasons and chief executive James Rule said:
"We don't think it would be fair to comment on the specific incidents. Hutch's actions constituted gross misconduct. After an internal investigation and disciplinary process it was decided to terminate his contract with immediate effect."The big 31-year-old prop made 22 appearances for the club, all off the substitute's bench, and scored two tries.
Hull have stressed they will make no further comment on the matter.

Source: www.hullfc.comMoving from one side of the world to the other is often too daunting for some players, but Hull FC's new prop Hutch Maiava is taking it all in his stride.
"I've not sorted much out, but I'll live in a tin hut if I need to - I'm not fussed," Maiava said on his first visit to East Yorkshire.
The 30-year-old Samoan forward enjoyed a guided tour of The Kingston Communications Stadium yesterday ahead of Sunday's Federation Shield clash as England take on Samoa.
Despite his huge physical presence Maiava is a shy and laidback individual, although he is intent on letting his game do the talking in 2007.
"I'm an attacking prop forward and I'm pretty quick over a short distance so perhaps my game will suit England. I can't make any promises, this is already a very good team and I'll have to work hard just to get a chance."When new players sign on the dotted line they often enthuse about a clubs history and reputation throughout the globe, Hutch is different.
He said:
"I honestly don't know anything about the club, this is my first visit to Britain and it's a useful trip before I return for pre-season training.
"The first thing I saw when I arrived into Hull was the massive (Humber) bridge, I thought it was like the Golden Gate Bridge.
"The stadium is a bit like Telstra in Australia and I know the English fans are a passionate bunch. I sometimes catch Super League on the television and I saw the atmosphere at the Bradford game and I was really impressed.
"The deal to come here happened pretty quickly and although there were other options, I was happy with what my agent said about Hull. Players that I speak to keep telling me what a great club it is and when I saw the stadium today I knew I'd made the right move.
"I've had a good look at the pitch and it's in great condition, better than Headingley anyway!
"The guys at the club have explained the local derby next season and what a huge crowd it will bring out, it just gets better and better."Maiava, whose girlfriend will stay Down Under to study, isn't at all concerned about his big move.
"I suppose some players naturally worry about things when they move across, but I'm not too bothered. People in all sorts of jobs have to move, its part of life.
"There are certainly a lot of things to sort out before I move over later in the year, I've only just found out you guys have to pay to watch television."Maiava's attacking running will no doubt make him popular with the Hull faithful, but Hutch admits he doesn't get too wrapped up in the game.
He explained:
"I tend not to get too involved in football outside the game, in fact I only found out that Willie Manu had also signed when a Tongan player told me on the plane over. I know Willie so I'm looking forward to playing with him, he's a quality player."Maiava burst onto the scene in 2004 as a 130kg firebrand for the Canterbury Bulldogs.
"I was playing in the park with my cousins and just enjoying myself when John Ackland said 'Come and give it a go'," Maiava said.
"I was partying a lot and working as a labourer so full-time training was a huge shock to the system. My backside was certainly dragging and I had to lose some weight."His devastating charges were quickly noted by NRL rivals and he left the Bulldogs for the Sharks in 2005.
Once in Australia Maiava engaged in a relentless fitness campaign and by the end of 2004 was down to his current playing weight of 115kg.
The big Kiwi is noted for his leg speed and is a noted tough man of the NRL. He is one of the fastest forwards at the Sharks over 40 metres and often beats the backs.
At 30 years of age Maiava said he is just reaching his peak and is looking forward to playing his best football with Hull.
Maiava made the New Zealand national squad for this year's ANZAC test against Australia but had to pull out with injury.
Despite back-to-back defeats on tour New Zealand born Maiava, whose partners hail from Samoa, is relishing Sunday's clash with England.
"I'm looking forward to it, England have made a good start, but our long term aim is too prepare for the World Cup.
"I'm one of the senior players in the squad so I've got a duty to train and play responsibly. We are disappointed to have lost our first couple of games, but the team is developing and obviously we have plenty of youngsters it's going to take time."News sent by:
