Former Dewsbury, Halifax and Hull FC prop Dominic Maloney comes home in January after a brief stint Queensland Cup club Burleigh Bears where he'll link up with Featherstone Rovers.
Maloney, 24, played seven Super League matches for Hull FC in the 2009 season and decided to try his hand in Australia in 2011 playing in Australia's second strongest and most competitive competition after the NRL.
Featherstone coach Daryl Powell said, "I am very pleased to have signed another front rower to add to our already outstanding forward pack for next season.
"Dom Maloney is a big rugged player who is proven in the championship with both Dewsbury and Halifax.
"He is a quality defender and is quick and aggressive with the ball. He will join up with the squad in January after a year playing in Australia."

The young Leeds winger is enjoying his second loan spell at the KC Stadium after re-joining the Black and Whites in April.
He has enjoyed a good run of late in the first team, filling in for the injured Mark Calderwood and adding to his tally of four tries this season coming from just six appearances.
Broughton also made five appearances for Hull last term during his first loan spell with the club.
Meanwhile, Hull's Dominic Maloney has joined Halifax on loan until the end of the season.
The 22-year-old has only had a limited opportunity in the first-team this season, making just seven appearances for the Black and Whites since his move from the Dewsbury Rams.
Maloney joined Hull on a one-year deal at the start of the season after three years with the Rams, following a spell in the academy and reserves grades at Castleford.
His best performance came back in April when he secured the Man of the Match award on his debut against St Helens on Easter Monday.
Hull FC Head Coach Richard Agar said, " Dom has made good progress since he arrived, but at the moment he is just sat outside the top 17.
"He's going to head out on loan to get a good taste of first grade football at the top of the Championship."
