Mason looking forward to clash with Hull FC
Sat May 27, 2006
Source: www.giantsrl.com

Huddersfield Giants prop Keith Mason is looking forward to his sides visit to the KC Stadium on Sunday 28th May.

Mason commented, "It is always a competitive match when we play Hull at the KC Stadium. Both Hull and ourselves are on a bit of a roll which makes for a tough game, and the boys are really up for it. On a more personal level I have been training really hard over the past couple of weeks with me being cup tied against York, I'm looking forward to getting on the pitch again."

Mason, who moved from St Helens four weeks ago, is enjoying his time at the Galpharm, "I'm just enjoying being able to play my game regularly. This is a really good club where everyone pulls together, there are no egos amongst the team, which is a great aspect because we all respect each other."

Looking further ahead to the Powergen Challenge Cup quarter final against Salford City Reds on Sunday 11th June (KO 3pm at the Galpharm Stadium), Mason said "I know what it takes to win a Challenge Cup as I achieved it at St Helens and there is no better feeling than playing in that final. As long as we keep our heads then I can't see why we can't progress to the semis and then to the final."

Huddersfield sign Keith Mason
Fri May 5, 2006
Source: www.giantsrl.com

Huddersfield Giants have signed 24-year-old St Helens prop Keith Mason on a two and a half year deal and he goes straight into the Giants squad to face his former club St Helens on Saturday.

Giants Head Coach Jon Sharp said:

"I am delighted we have been able to add Keith to our squad. I coached Keith at Wakefield and St Helens and believe he has the potential to make a big impact in Super League XI. He is an athletic front rower who will fit in well to our squad and give us a big boost."

Giants new signing Keith Mason commented:

"It's a great opportunity for me to move to the Giants. I'm really fired up to re-launch my career, and having worked with Jon (Sharp) and Kieron (Purtill) at Saints, I know that they will bring the best out of me. The set up here is fantastic and they have got a great squad and I know it won't be too long before the team are back to their best."
