Tonga gone for the season, Asotasi just about gone
Mon August 21, 2006
Source: www.bulldogs.com.au

Bulldogs Medical Officer Dr Hugh Hazard has made the following comments regarding players injured last weekend.

"Willie Tonga has had a medial ligament reconstruction today. He will not play again this season.

"MRI scans on the injured left knee of Roy Asotasi have revealed an incomplete tear of the medial ligament. We will brace his leg for 4 to 5 weeks. If the Bulldogs were to make the Grand Final then he may be available to play again this season.

"Nate Myles is progressing well after sustaining a knock to his leg and is a strong chance of playing this Friday.

"The latest prognosis for Dallas McIlwain after he sustained a shoulder injury last Friday is that he is a 50/50 proposition for this week against the Sea Eagles."

Bulldogs re-sign McIlwain and Morrin
Mon July 24, 2006

Mitsubishi Electric Bulldogs players Dallas McIlwain and Brad Morrin will remain in the blue-and-white for another year after agreeing to terms with the Club.

2007 will be McIlwain's third season with the Bulldogs. Over that time he has proved his worth playing 20 first grade matches and 14 Premier League games.

Bulldogs football manager Bradley Clyde commented, "Dallas has been an integral part of the fulltime squad for the past two years and although he has not secured a regular place in first grade his utility value to our football teams is high."

Brad Morrin, 24, grew up in the Canterbury-Bankstown area and has played 18 first grade games for the Bulldogs.

Clyde said, "As a local junior Brad has developed incredibly over the past two seasons. The Club is very happy to have him commit because he's very popular with our squad."
