Hull KR first team player Luke Menzies has this week gone on loan to National League side Oldham Roughyeds.

The promising youngster has joined the Co-operative National League side on a one month loan basis with the aim to gain regular first team experience, and is set to face the Rochdale Hornets this weekend, Sunday 27th April, 3pm kick-off at Boundary Park.

Joining the Red and Whites from Batley Bulldogs at the beginning of the season, the prop forward made his debut for the Robins against Castleford Tigers on the 15th March, and fans witnessed the raw talent that Luke possesses.

Hull Kingston Rovers Head Coach Justin Morgan commented: "This is a good opportunity for Luke as a player, he will greatly benefit from regular first team action and I'll be monitoring his progress closely during his one month loan period."

Don't forget, Hull KR take-on 2007 Champions Leeds Rhinos at Craven Park this Friday 25 April (kick off 8pm).
