Rogers out for six weeks
Tue July 3, 2007
Source: www.titans.com.au

In-form Jetstar Gold Coast Titans centre Mat Rogers has been ruled out of Friday night's NRL clash against the Brisbane Broncos and could miss up to 6 weeks of Rugby League after suffering a knee injury during last weekend's Round 16 clash with the New Zealand Warriors.

Scans today confirmed 31-year-old Rogers suffered a small Patella fracture during the 22-6 loss to the Warriors, the injury forcing the club's leading try scorer from the field during the second half.

Luke O'Dwyer has been named in the centres as Rogers' replacement.

TITANS: Preston Campbell, Matt Petersen, Luke O'Dwyer, Brett Delaney, Smith Samau, Josh Lewis, Scott Prince (c), Luke Bailey (c), Nathan Friend, Ian Donnelly, Michael Hodgson, Mark Minichiello, Luke Swain. Subs: Matthew Hilder, James Stosic, Gavin Cooper, Clint Amos, Kris Kahler (one to be omitted).

Mat Rogers to resume training
Wed April 11, 2007
Source: www.titans.com.au

After consulting a spinal surgeon early this morning, Mat Rogers has been cleared to resume training with the Jetstar Gold Coast Titans.

After comparing scans taken during Rogers time with the Waratahs against recent scans, the Titans medical team and a spinal surgeon concluded that there has been no progression of the injury.

Rogers neck has this week responded well to rest and physiotherapy and he will resume training with his Jetstar Titans team mates at the Runaway Bay Junior Rugby League grounds from 9.00am tomorrow morning.
