Sibbit injured his shoulder in the game against Castleford and a further visit to a Consultant Specialist has now decreed that an operation is necessary.
Sibbit is likely to be missing for around twelve weeks and Bulls Football Manager Stuart Duffy is very disappointed with the news:
"We are very disappointed, particularly as the injury was caused in an off the ball incident. Ian saw the Consultant in the week following the Castleford game and he recommended a course of Rehabilitation.
"Ian has undergone that treatment over the past four weeks but he has not responded to the treatment as we had hoped and another scan carried out by the same Consultant has now shown that an operation is necessary."

Source: www.bradfordbulls.co.ukCentre Keith Lulia looks set to make his Bradford Bulls debut after being named in Mick Potter's 19 man squad for the game against Wigan.
The former Newcastle Knights player missed the opening two rounds of the competition but looks likely to be a direct replacement for his fellow countryman Adrian Purtell. Also missing from the side that defeated Castleford last week are James Donaldson and Ian Sibbit. Sibbit picked up a shoulder injury at Castlford and has not recovered.
Michael Platt is added to the Squad and Paul Sykes and Ben Jeffries, who were both in last week's 19 are also included.
The squad in full is:
