The list of candidates to become the first inductees to the Newcastle Knights Hall of Fame, proudly supported by Aggreko, has today been reduced to 10.

The ten nominees will be acknowledged at tonight's Round 3 game against the Brisbane Broncos at Hunter Stadium.

The next step in the Hall of Fame process, is announcing the founding four members to be inducted into the Hall of Fame at the Hall of Fame and 25 Year Anniversary Dinner on April 4.

The four inductees will then be presented to the crowd at the Knights Round 6 clash with the Parramatta Eels, the Club's first opponent 25 years ago.

Knights team for Simpson's final home game

This Saturday night is our last home game of the year, Old Boys Day and time to celebrate the career of Steve Simpson.

The Newcastle Knights are set for a big game against the competition leaders, the St George Illawarra Dragons, who are coming of the back of a loss to the Canberra Raiders.

After five home wins in a row, EnergyAustralia Stadium is once again becoming a venue that away teams fear.

Knights Assistant Coach Andrew Dunemann spoke with Knights TV about

"They are the team that everyone wants to beat, and defensively they are very good.

"Hopefully with the Old Boys game this week we can really go out there and put on a good show."

Akuila Uate and Cooper Vuna have formed a formidable pair of wingers.

"They have 35 tries between them now which in a team that's not in the top eight is a massive effort."

After Vuna's four try effort against the Broncos on Friday night, Uate is sure to continue his push to maintain the title of leading try scorer in the 2010 season.
