Source: www.bulldogs.com.auCentre Tim Lafai has capped a big few days by earning a call up into the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs NRL side to play the Parramatta Eels this Friday night at ANZ Stadium.
Lafai comes into the side in place of Steve Turner - who has been ruled out for the season after rupturing a patella tendon in the Bulldogs round eight 12-10 loss to Manly - after scoring a personal haul of 30 points in the Bulldogs 78-nil NSW Cup win over Western Suburbs on Saturday.
He will line up alongside Josh Morris in the centres against the Eels, with Jonathan Wright moving to the wing against his former Club.
Lafai's inclusion is the main change to coach Des Hasler's side, which also sees Greg Eastwood named in the number 13 jersey after starting each of the Bulldogs past two games at lock whilst wearing jersey number 15.
David Stagg will line up on the interchange bench.
Lafai's two try, 11 goal feat against the Magpies in the NSW Cup saw him become just the third Bulldogs player in history to score 30 points or more in a reserve grade-level game, behind NRL team mate Josh Reynolds (38 points v Melbourne in 2010) and Brent Crisp (32 points v Western Suburbs in 2009).
The 20 year old played eight NRL games during 2011, scoring two tries including one on debut. This will be his first NRL appearance of the year.

Source: www.bulldogs.com.auWinger Steve Turner has extended his stay at the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, signing a one year contract extension this week which will ensure he remains at the Club until at least the end of the 2012 NRL season.
Turner joined the Club from the Melbourne Storm prior to the start of the 2010 season and played all but three of the Bulldogs games last year, scoring eight tries.
"I've felt at home here at the Bulldogs since joining the Club and it was a pretty simple decision to extend my stay," Turner said.
"I'm very optimistic that the team the Club has assembled this season has the ability to go a long way and I'm excited to be a part of that."
26-year-old Turner comes into season 2011 with 128 NRL matches to his name, earned at the Bulldogs, Storm and Penrith Panthers, having made his debut for Penrith back in season 2002.
Over the course of his career he has crossed for 67 tries as well as kicking 14 goals, for a points tally of 296.
Bulldogs head coach Kevin Moore says Turner has been a valued member of the team since joining the Club.
"Steve is the ultimate team man and he went very close to being our player of the year in 2010," Bulldogs head coach Kevin Moore said.
"He's just a great contributor in all aspects of his role as an NRL player and I'm delighted that he's chosen to extend his stay at the Bulldogs.
"He is without doubt a quality footballer - you don't play in four Grand Finals or at State of Origin level without being able to perform on the park."
Bulldogs CEO Todd Greenberg says the retention of Turner is a boost on the eve of a new NRL season.
"Steve is one of those players you love to have around a football Club," Greenberg said. "He's an outstanding player who gives his all, and he's a great supporter of our Community and Corporate programmes.
"He's a Canterbury International ambassador in 2011 and is always first to put up his hand whenever there's a Community appearance or media spot to do. His outlook is always positive and this shows in his approach to his football."
