Browne to make Bulldogs NRL debut, Warburton returns
Tue April 6, 2010

The Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs have today named an extended interchange bench of five players for this Saturday's home game against the Warriors at ANZ Stadium.

Bulldogs Coach Kevin Moore will omit one player just prior to the 7.30pm kick off, with injured front rower Jarrad Hickey given every opportunity to recover from a bruised lung suffered in last night's loss to South Sydney. Hickey was discharged from hospital earlier today with all tests clearing him of any major injuries and is expected to resume training later in the week.

Former Manly prop Tim Browne will make his debut for the Bulldogs, whilst back rower Gary Warburton will return after a two week suspension.

Bulldogs CEO Todd Greenberg has encouraged all NRL Club members to get to the game and help celebrate the career of Warriors and former Bulldog great Steve Price, who announced his retirement at the end of the 2010 season earlier today.

"Steve's outstanding efforts with Queensland and Australia means he has a strong following right across the game and the manner in which he has carried himself through a variety of situations has earned him much respect," Mr Greenberg said.

"I'd urge NRL Club Members to come and join the Bulldogs in paying tribute to one of our game's great players."

Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs: Luke Patten, Steve Turner, Josh Morris, Jamal Idris, Bryson Goodwin, Ben Roberts, Brett Kimmorley, Ben Hannant, Michael Ennis, Chris Armit, Yileen Gordon, Andrew Ryan [c], David Stagg. Subs: Tim Browne, Gary Warburton, Jarrad Hickey, Ben Barba, Danny Williams (one to be omitted).

Ennis, Armit and Morrin return to Bulldogs NRL line up

Bulldogs coach Kevin Moore has today named his line up for this Sunday's clash against the Roosters, with injuries and suspension forcing a number of changes for the 3pm kickoff at ANZ Stadium.

NSW Origin hooker Michael Ennis returns from a one week suspension, whilst hardworking backrower Gary Warburton will be missing after accepting a two match suspension via an early guilty plea for a grade two dangerous contact charge.

Michael Hodgson and Mickey Paea will both be sidelined for a number of weeks after suffering knee injuries in last week's game against the Dragons.

Chris Armit will return to play his first game in 2010 after recovering from off season shoulder surgery.

Veteran forward Brad Morrin will be joined on the bench by utility playmaker Blake Green who made his Bulldogs debut last week when he replaced Ennis at hooker.

The full team is outlined below:

1 Luke Patten
2 Steve Turner
3 Josh Morris
4 Jamal Idris
5 Bryson Goodiwn
6 Ben Roberts
7 Brett Kimmorley
8 Ben Hannant
9 Michael Ennis
10 Jarrad Hickey
11 Yileen Gordon
12 Andrew Ryan [c]
13 David Stagg
