Source: www.raiders.com.auThe CFMEU Canberra Raiders will welcome back Ryan Hinchcliffe and Michael Weyman into their side this weekend, for their must win match against the Brisbane Broncos at Canberra Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Hinchcliffe returns after an extended layoff through a thumb injury, while Weyman plays his first match since being suspended in round four.
Raiders prop Scott Logan will miss the next three matches for the Green Machine, after he today pleaded guilty on his dangerous throw charge.
Logan's absence sees Troy Thompson return to the starting side with Weyman on the bench, while Hinchcliffe's inclusion on the bench sees a reshuffle of the Raiders playmakers, with Glen Buttriss set to start the match on Sunday at hooker.
With Buttriss starting at hooker Raiders skipper Alan Tongue moves to five-eighth, with Terry Campese shifting to the centres to cover for the injured Adrian Purtell, who is set to miss a minimum of three matches after straining the medial ligament in his knee.
David Milne shifts from the wing to fullback for the match, with incumbent fullback Bronx Goodwin trading places with Milne on the wing.
The Raiders have named an extended bench for the match with Ben Jones and Brett Kelly named in jumpers 18 and 19, while Toyota Cup centre Justin Carney has been named in jumper number 20. If Carney plays on Sunday afternoon it will be his first grade debut.
Raiders assistant Coach David Furner said Campese's move to the centre would allow Alan Tongue to move into the halves, and maintain the size out wide in the backs.
"With Adrian Purtell out for between 3-6 weeks we've moved Terry Campese into the centres, and he's played there before," Furner said. "Alan has played in the halves before and he's also a very good organiser and he's been in a situation at nine over the past few weeks where he's been more of an organiser, so we don't see too much of a change their."
Furner said David Milne's move to fullback had been solid against the Eels, and he would stay there for the Broncos match.
"David has been taking his opportunities and it was a late change last week, Neil (Henry) spoke to him about his carries, and he has plenty of speed to the ball and bringing it back to the defensive line," he said. "Again there's some things there we need to adjust but he's been impressive."

Source: www.raiders.com.auRaiders prop Michael Weyman will miss the next six weeks of football action, after he took the early guilty plea on both incidents from the weekend's loss to the Gold Coast Titans.
Weyman's early plea on both counts left him with 627 points, meaning 600 of those will lead to the six week suspension, with 27 points carrying over.
Raiders CEO Don Furner said Weyman's penalty is just, but he has been disappointed by the way the situation has been played out by the Gold Coast.
"I've had a few discussions with the league and the disappointment we've had with their players commenting on the charge and what he should get and that should not happen," Furner said.
"The league knows that, and I spoke to Michael Searle as well and he was apologetic, but it's not their place to come out and talk about how many weeks he should get, and I know Michael (Weyman) is very disappointed that this was going on prior to the charge coming through."Furner added he was also unhappy with the referee's description of the incident, and Weyman was unfairly touted as portraying a 'King Hit'.
"The other thing that was disappointing was that the referee was calling it a king hit, and I know Michael refutes that," he said.
"It was two guys standing there squaring off. He shouldn't have done it, but he got the first punch in. It wasn't a king hit."Raiders Coach Neil Henry agreed with Furner that he was disappointed by the claims made by the Gold Coast, but Weyman's penalty was just and he would take the six weeks.
"As I mentioned yesterday, to come out and start talking about how many weeks a player should get and then talk about king hits and things like that was probably not on," Henry said.
"I looked at the vision several times and it's not a king hit. Yes it's unfortunate, yes he deserves to be charged for it and he's remorseful about it.
"The fact is that they both had contact with each other and they both squared off, they were looking at each other. There's no charge for a king hit, he's been charged with striking, and he will play the price for that by not playing the next six weeks of football," he said.
In team news, veteran prop and 2007 Raiders player of the year Scott Logan will return for the Green Machine this weekend, for the side's big match against the Wests Tigers at Canberra Stadium.
Logan has been out since round two after suffering a cheekbone fracture against the Penrith Panthers, but has been cleared to play the Tigers this weekend. The inclusion of Logan into the side boosts the Raiders depleted stocks.
Experienced hooker Lincoln Withers moves back into the starting line-up for Canberra, after Ryan Hinchcliffe was ruled out for between 6-8 weeks yesterday with a broken thumb.
Hinchcliffe's injury extends an already full Raiders casualty ward, with Glen Turner, Neville Costigan and Brett Kelly still unavailable, while Phil Graham and William Zillman are already out for the season.
For Zillman, he has played his last match in Raiders colours, after yesterday signing a four year deal with the Gold Coast Titans.
Raiders Coach Neil Henry said the inclusion of Logan would certainly help the Raiders cause, with Ben Jones also set to boost the Raiders on Sunday.
"Scott Logan is back from his cheekbone injury which is a welcome return," Henry said. "We need him up front. Ben Jones returns also after a couple of weeks in the Queensland cup and he'll come onto the bench."TELSTRA PREMIERSHIPCanberra Raiders v Wests Tigers
