True league was not big in SA but we have seen some good players in the under 21 team up and coming John-Henry Carstens did well enough/

nice to hear your input cecil but you don't seem to grasp my point regarding this rhino tour of england. it seems to me that over the last 15 years or so south africa with the springboks, bafana bafana, proteas etc.... have reappeared on the sporting scene of this planet and really injected something into their appropriate sports and we have seen new stars that we would not have seen had sa stayed in the old apharteid system. i personally find it strange that the rugby league set up in sa as failed to not even come warm over there, even though it claims to have been rocking and rolling for 26 years, and why isn't say australia backing south africa? now i see that the county sides have selected only players from their lower tiers and bear in mind that these lads who will be playing against the sa rhinos are all totally amateur and all are just playing in their leisure as a hobby i feel it begs the question that surely this isn't the best south africa can do and that is not trying to disrespect anyone concerned how long will it be until we see the rhinos really up there competing like their counterparts in other sa sports i just wonder

Rooster, we as RL enthusiasts in SA are very excited about RL`s growth of more than 200% the last two years in SA, we are definately growing.Only in our region, central SA we have established 6 new clubs and 2 provincial teams,Goldfield Phantoms and Free State Wildcats, 3 of the Phanthom players, Frans Groenewald, Charl vd Merwe and Morne Claasen is in the Rhino team to tour the UK in Oct. Yes it is a new game for us, and we appreciate the chance to play against top county sides and Barla, this can only help us to improve. And Paul in SARL we look at the development of the game and not race or language. Yes you did beat us badly in our own back yard, thats the past, we look at the future.
Hope to meet you at the games in UK.
Rhino Greetings

yes it seems the british rugby league enjoy entertaining these clowns in pretoria, yet why do the australians and nz leaguies steer well clear? i mean isn't this tour a futile gamble, is it going to set league alight in s africa? didnt england u 21 beat them by 116 points and barla thrashed them 60 or 70 something? and all this in their own back yard, surely this tour is going to overwhelm them and after the three county sides have bruised them will lads with very little experience playing the 13 a side code feel like taking on the might of a full strentgh barla? i wonder, and what message will this tour send out to the aboriginal maori png tongan fiji players, not to mention non white non afrikaans south africans, no i am sorry i do not know who has thought this one up, but has the serious probable backlash been thought through? i am sorry but i fear rl is heading for trouble on this and all for what? to be accused of colaborating with what may well be seen as an exclusively white supremist touring side? good luck to BARLA i just feel they have got this one all wrong

What is the strength of the South African RL as at stands now? Growing, stagnating or going backwards?
