Warriors and Raiders find cure for insomnia

If you were struggling to find a way to get to sleep last night, then watching the NRL match between the Raiders and the Warriors would have helped.

In front of only 7,174 fans, yes the Raiders havent got much support at the moment either, the Raiders secured a dull 18-14 win. The game had lots dropped ball, a lack of finishing skills, one player taking a dive which would have had Greg Louganis in raptures and an odd video ref decision just for good measure.

It was hard to get too excited as the Warriors and Raiders found ways to blow tries. Todd Byrne got hauled up by Craig Frawley despite a 20 metre head start. The Warriors made plenty of breaks, but as theyve done in the past, they botched most of them.

The Warriors looked like they may be heading to victory, but in an odd twist and with the Warriors up 14-6, referee Steve Nash awarded a try to the Raiders. It was an odd ruling in so much as 99 out of 100 times an Australian ref will put down a scrum when a ball is jolted loose in a tackle. Not this time however, as Nash awarded the Raiders a try instead.

Instead of using up time on the clock, the Warriors gave away possession with some silly passes. The Raiders took advantage and it wasnt surprising to see them break the Warriors hearts with only a couple of minutes left on the clock.

So, the Warriors are stuck on zero points and have Souths up next week. Youd like to think the Warriors would finally get some competition points, but such is their form, you wouldnt like to put serious money on it.
