Mon May 28, 2007 Source: www.manlyseaeagles.com.auManly forward George Rose will tomorrow night (Tuesday) face a further operation following the compound fracture of the right ankle suffered in last Saturday's match against the Melbourne Storm. Manly doctor, Paul Bloomfield said the second operation was necessary to reduce the risk of infection because of the compound fracture/dislocation which took place. Rose underwent a three hour operation after midnight on Sunday morning after his fibula was fractured and the deltoid ligament was badly torn. The report from hospital today was that he is comfortable after the operation. The popular prop, in his second season with the Sea Eagles, has been swamped by fans wishing him a successful recovery. The game will be played at Brookvale Oval in Sydney from 5:30pm. Matt King returns to the centres in place of Will Chambers, while Matt Geyer returns to his customary wing position with the number six jersey given back to Greg Inglis. Brett White has been named to partner Ben Cross in the front row in the run-on side; Cam Smith replaces the impressive James Aubusson at hooker; and Antonio Kaufusi has been named to start in the backrow. Israel Folau will start on the interchange bench while Aubusson has been named as 18th man. Squad for Saturday's game: Starting team: 1. Billy Slater 2. Steve Turner 3. Matt King 4. Anthony Quinn 5.
