Tue August 7, 2007 North Queensland coach Graham Murray has made several changes for Monday's clash against Penrith at CUA Stadium. The Cowboys narrowly edged out a gallant Canberra side 28-22 with the individual brilliance of Johnathan Thurston and Matt Bowen proving to be the difference between the two sides. Brenton Bowen returns after missing last weeks match and takes the place of Scott Minto on the wing. Neil Sweeney who took Bowen's place on the wing last weekend has been retained in the Cowboys line up. Veteran centre Paul Bowman returns from suspension and takes the place of youngster Ben Farrar. Sione Faumuina comes from the bench into the starting side at lock with Justin Smith moving to five-eighth and Shane Muspratt missing out after playing his first NRL match of the season last weekend. Matt Bartlett and Jacob Lillyman return from injury and will take their positoins on the bench with Ben Vaeau being omitted. The Cowboys currently sit in 4th position and have to keep winning to maintain their place in the top four. Any side with Thurston and Bowen is always going to be a handful for anyone that comes up against them.
