Positive meeting not enough for Reynoldson recall
Tue August 28, 2007
The Newcastle Knights have today said that Kirk Reynoldson and his advisor, Les Ross held a positive meeting today at the club's headquarters.

In a statement issued, the Knights said, "It was agreed dialog will continue and both parties will work towards a mutually beneficial outcome."

Still, the positive meeting wasn't enough for the out of favour Reynoldson to win a recall in the Knights do or die final round clash against Wests Tigers at Telstra Stadium.

Reynoldson is stuck on 14 appearances in the top grade and needs one more to exercise a clause in his contract for next season.

Newcastle have to win at all costs on Friday night and hope that Penrith can upset the Warriors to avoid claiming the dreaded wooden spoon for the second time in three seasons.
