Source: www.superleague.co.ukHuddersfield Giants' desperate start to the engage Super League season continued as they slipped to a narrow defeat in France.
Jon Sharp's Giants trailed 13-12 at the break and could not overturn the deficit in the second half.
They remain bottom of the table - and the only club in the league without a point.
It was poor starts at the beginning of each half that proved Huddersfield's downfall.
In the first half, Catalans were faster out of the blocks and deservedly led 12-0 after 19 minutes.
Thomas Bosc broke the deadlock in the eighth minute and then added a conversion before landing a second after Lionel Teixido plunged over from close range 11 minutes later.
But that was the signal for the Giants to come to life.
In the 23rd minute, they reduced the deficit when Chris Nero scored in the corner for Thomas Hemingway to add the extras.
And 10 minutes later, the visitors drew level with a strong solo effort from Ryan Hudson.
On the stroke of half-time, Stacey Jones banged over a dropped goal and within 12 minutes of the re-start, the home side's lead had been extended to 23-12.
Tries from Clint Greenshields and Adam Mogg appeared to put the Dragons in complete control.
But late scores from the visitors' Stuart Jones and Stephen Wild set up a grandstand finish.
