Second rower Steve Snitch scored his first hat-trick for last season's beaten Challenge Cup finalists Huddersfield Giants in a 13-try demolition of part-timers York City Knights.
Snitch finished off a flowing move involving Eorl Crabtree and Brad Drew for his first try on 20 minutes and he then added another soon after in the left corner from Chris Nero's final pass.
Snitch later ran through unchallenged on 63 minutes down the left touchline to complete a treble against the injury-hit League Two minnows and seal Huddersfield's first win of the season.
engage Super League's bottom club had lost seven straight games before this fourth-round tie and had won only four of their last 19 outings going back into last season.
But the Giants, who have now knocked York out of the Challenge Cup at the same stage in three of the last four seasons, were always likely to win easily against an outfit who were hammered 60-20 at home by Halifax last week.
Paul Reilly and Shane Elford both scored twice and there were further touchdowns from John Skandalis, Martin Aspinwall, Robbie Paul, Ryan Hudson, Jamahl Lolesi and Nero.
Drew kicked 11 goals from 14 attempts as the Giants cruised past the half-century mark by the 58th minute.
The visitors were never in it and were repeatedly punished for handling mistakes by clinical finishing from Huddersfield's players.
But the visitors did have the satisfaction of scoring the game's best try through Ryan Esders on 68 minutes.
He collected Adam Sullivan's offload near the halfway line and sprinted past several Giants defenders to register a stunning solo touchdown under the posts.
Hooker Jamaine Wray sadly missed the conversion so that all the City Knights had to show for their efforts was a single try.
