Mon August 6, 2007 Source: www.hullfc.comHull FC and Hull KR have both been charged with misconduct following the on field trouble at their derby game at Craven Park on July 8. Both clubs have been charged with failure to control spectators and now face an independent hearing at a date to be confirmed later this summer. Hull chief executive James Rule is asking for the fans to help the club identify the gentleman in the Gemtec jersey and cap pictured on the clubs website. He is one of three people Hull identified and they already have the names of the other two. This gentleman's name would complete Hull's internal investigation, Rule said: "It would be extremely helpful to the club to identify this person and ideally I would like to identify him before we go to the RFL hearing.
"If any of our fans can help us I would ask they come forward. I would like to stress that any information we do receive will be treaded in the strictest of confidence."In response to the charge being levelled at Hull, Rule said: "We have submitted all our evidence collected over the last month to the RFL and will be attending the independent hearing along with that evidence.
"At this stage I don't want to make any further comment."News sent by: www.hullfc.comMon July 9, 2007 Source: www.hullkr.co.ukHull Kingston Rovers and Hull FC will be working together to ensure that any perpetrators found to be involved in any confrontational incidents at the end of yesterdays game will be dealt with promptly. Hull Kingston Rovers Chief Executive Paul Lakin commented: "It is obviously very disappointing that after another exciting derby match fans encroached onto the pitch despite repeated announcements not to do so. Both clubs are determined that the minority of fans who were involved in any incidents after the game, will be fully investigated and banned accordingly.
"I have today received full video footage of the fans encroaching onto the pitch, this will be further supported by reports from the Safety Officer and match day Police Commander, and I would also encourage any fans that have further evidence to bring this to the attention of the club.
"I would like to further add whilst in no way is it acceptable for fans to enter onto the pitch, the vast majority had no intention of doing so in any aggressive nature, and that the pitch was subsequently cleared in a quick and effective manner."If any fan witnessed any inappropriate behaviour at yesterday's game, please do not hesitate to contact the club via email: info@hullkr.co.uk. Your information will be kept private and strictly confidential. News sent by: www.hullkr.co.uk |
