Mon September 17, 2007 Source: www.superleague.co.ukTwo tries apiece from Clint Greenshield and John Wilson ensured Catalans Dragons finished the engage Super League season on a high with a comfortable 30-14 victory over Harlequins. The result means Quins still finish a place above the Dragons in ninth but it was a disappointing performance from Brian McDermott's men at the Stade Gilbert Brutus. The home side took little more than a minute to race into the lead when France three-quarter Cyril Stacul romped over the line to score. Legendary scrum-half Stacey Jones, making his final appearance in a Catalans shirt before his retirement, kicked over and by the seventh minute his side were in complete control when Wilson scored a second try. The ever-reliable Jones, a former Golden Boot winner, kicked over again but Harlequins hit back through Paul Sykes to stay in contention. Jones scored his third goal of the game on the stroke of half-time and Catalans began the second half in much the same fashion with tries from Greenshields and Wilson in quick succession, the second of which converted by Jones. Sykes went over for his second of the game in the 54th minute but nine minutes later Tony Clubb touched down to keep Quins' hopes alive. A late try from Greenshields and Jones' fifth goal put paid to that, however, as Catalans clinched victory over the one side they were yet to defeat this season.
