Leeds Rhinos are the 2007 Super League premiers after an impressive 33-6 victory against St Helens at Old Trafford moments ago in front of a bumper crowd of 74,322.
It was the Rhinos most impressive performance of the season and the perfect farewell for coach Tony Smith before he takes on the Great Britain coaching position.
St Helens dominated for 15 minutes and they came out hard at the Rhinos hoping to break them early, however, Leeds hung on and took an 8-6 lead at the half-time break.
The second half was all one way traffic as the Rhinos controlled field position and powered their way to victory and they played right to the final whistle with Jamie Jones-Buchanan scoring with four seconds remaining to rub it right into the Saints wounds.
It was the 5th premiership success for Leeds and their 2nd during the Super League era.
St Helens decision to play Sean Long who had only played twice in the last two months massively backfired as the Saints looked disjointed in attack and the Rhinos pressured and bustled them at every opportunity.
The victory by Leeds ended St Helens run of glory where they were current Super League champions, World Club champions, Challenge Cup champions and Super League minor premiers.
Leeds halfback Rob Burrow took out the Harry Sunderland Medal for Man of the Match in the Grand Final.
Congratulations to the Leeds Rhinos on their success and they will now take on Australian NRL premiers Melbourne Storm early next year in the World Club Challenge.

Source: www.leedsrugby.comAcademy Award winner Russell Crowe is backing Leeds Rhinos to win the engage Super League Grand Final on Saturday night at Old Trafford.
Crowe, who is the co-owner of the South Sydney Rabbitohs, has given his support to the Rhinos following a ground breaking partnership between his club and Leeds announced earlier this summer.
The Gladiator-star is currently in London and although he is unable to make it to Old Trafford because of prior commitments he will be watching the game live on television.
Crowe commented,
"We are proud to be associated with Leeds Rhinos and there is lots of excitement for all of us at Souths with our sister club going all the way to the Grand Final. I will be watching the game on TV with my friends and family and we will be shouting for the Rhinos.
"I am certain that thousands of South Sydney fans will be getting up at 4am back in Australia, having a cup of tea and supporting the Rhinos at Old Trafford also. I would like send my best wishes to Tony Smith and the whole team for the Grand Final," added Crowe.
Rhinos Chief Executive Gary Hetherington commented,
"I was delighted to receive the call from Russell showing his support for the team. I know he would have liked to be at the game but that unfortunately was not possible. However, he is someone who is very passionate about his Rugby League and he is really looking forward to watching the game. St Helens have got Johnny Vegas supporting them and we have got the Gladiator himself, so it is a real battle of the heavyweights."The Rhinos will take on Crowe's Rabbitohs in America in January next season. The game, which will take place at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Florida, is on Australia Day, Saturday January 26 2008. Souths are the most successful team in the 100 year history of Rugby League in Australia. They have won the title 20 times but their last success came back in 1971. They made the play offs for the first time in 18 years this season the year after Crowe and co-owner Peter Holmes a Court took control of the club.
