The CFMEU Canberra Raiders have suffered a 31-18 loss at home tonight to the Manly Sea-Eagles.
The Raiders trailed 12-0 late in the first half, but a high tackle on Raiders prop Troy Thompson saw Manly forward Adam Cuthbertson sent from the field, reducing Manly to 12 men on the field for the remainder of the match and giving the Raiders a distinct advantage.
The Raiders fell further behind in the second half however, with Manly scoring in the 51st minute to extend their lead. Two tries to the Raiders saw them right back in the contest, but Manly closed out the match with two more tries and a field goal, before the Raiders posted a consolation try on the final siren.
