Marsh moved to pivot for Broncos
Tue June 24, 2008
Source: www.broncos.com.au

PJ Marsh has been named at five-eighth for the WOW Brisbane Broncos clash against Penrith on Friday.

The Broncos will be missing Origin representatives Karmichael Hunt, Darius Boyd, Ben Hannant and Sam Thaiday, who were all in the Maroons team named this morning for next week's series decider.

And with David Stagg out of the Panthers match with a calf tear, Marsh has been thrust into the no.6 jersey as the Broncos continue to await Darren Lockyer's return from knee surgery.

Both Lockyer and Stagg are due back in the Broncos' next match, on July 13 against the Bulldogs at Suncorp Stadium.

The club has a bye next week.

Marsh will partner Shane Perry in the halves at CUA Stadium, with youngster Andrew McCullough named on the bench.

Bronco under-20 player Josh Hoffman, who made his NRL debut against the Dragons three weeks ago, will again deputise for Hunt at fullback.

The absence of Origin stars gives Isaak Ah Mau and Derrick Watkins another chance on a five-man bench.

Joel Clinton heads that bench in what will be an early return from an AC joint injury against his old club.

Jennings and Puletua return for Panthers
Tue June 24, 2008
Penrith will welcome back Michael Jennings for Friday's home clash against Brisbane with youngsters Wade Graham and Masada Iosefa retained in the Panthers line up.

Graham took the place of Jennings last week and handled himself nicely in the five-eighth positoin warranting another opportunity at NRL level as did Iosefa, who performed solidly off the bench.

Jennings will make his return at the expense of Jarrod Sammut, who has been relegated to 18th man. Maurice Blair remains in the centres and Brad Tighe shifts out to the wing.

Tony Puletua returns from injury and will take the place of captain Petero Civoniceva following his selection in the Queensland side.
