Sonny Bill Williams is a confirmed starter for the Mitsubishi Electric Bulldogs in Friday night's match against the Sydney Roosters at the Sydney Football Stadium after making a full recovery from a knee injury that saw him miss the past three games.
Arana Taumata will be a new face for the team with coach Steve Folkes naming the 19 year-old debutant as starting five-eighth. Taumata joined the Bulldogs earlier this year and has impressed with strong performances in the Toyota and NSW Cups.
"Arana has shown some good signs in the lower grades and at the age of 19 years of age we feel he is physically capable of handling the pressures of NRL First Grade," coach Folkes said.
The Roosters match will also give record breaking winger Hazem El Masri the opportunity to become the second highest point scorer in the history of the NRL. El Masri (2104) needs just three points to overtake Jason Taylor (2107) and requires a further 69 points to match the mark set by record holder Andrew Johns on 2176.
In other changes to the team from last week's loss to the Raiders Fred Briggs has been promoted to start in the front row with Brad Morrin being moved to the bench. Danny Williams has been recalled to the top grade after returning from injury with a Player's Player performance in NSW Cup last week. Nick Kouparitsas was unavailable for selection after suffering an ankle injury against the Raiders.

O'Meley to lead Roosters against former club Tue June 24, 2008 Former Bulldog now Roosters star Mark O'Meley will lead his new club on Friday night when they take on the out of form Bulldogs.
The Roosters have been decimated for Friday night's clash due to the deciding State of Origin with stars Wille Mason, Anthony Tupou, Braith Anasta, Mitchell Pearce, Craig Fitzgibbon and Nate Myles all unavailable due to selection in the NSW and Queensland sides.
O'Meley has been in strong form for the Roosters this season and Friday's clash will be the first time O'Meley has captained at NRL level with previous stints at North Sydney, Northern Eagles and the Bulldogs.
Despite the Roosters being without six key players they'll be confident heading into Friday's clash following the Bulldogs woeful effort against Canberra last week where they missed an extraordinary 52 tackles and allowed the Raiders to rack up 11 tries away from home.
