Sun July 27, 2008 Source: www.raiders.com.auThe CFMEU Canberra Raiders have put a week of controversy behind them to record a thumping 46-4 victory over the Gold Coast Titans at Canberra Stadium. Raiders five-eighth Terry Campese produced his best ever performance for the Green machine, orchestrating his side's blistering attacking plays and finishing with a personal haul of 18 points, including 7 goals from 8 attempts. Campese's efforts took a lot of the pressure off rookie halfback Marc Herbert, who went on to produce a memorable debut performance which included a first half try. The Raiders found themselves behind 4-0 early in the match but from there it was all green, with the Raiders posting four unanswered tries to head to halftime with a 22-4 lead. The second half could not have started better for the Raiders, with Joe Picker crashing over after 4 minutes to see the Raiders jump to a 24-point advantage. The win sees the Raiders jump into the top 8, with the side now holding an advantageous 40-point differential.
