Melbourne won a classic top-of-the-table clash against Manly last Friday night, prevailing 16-10 at Brookvale Oval. It was the first time Melbourne had won at Manly's home ground since 1999.

The win sent them equal on points with Manly at the head of the NRL table.

Sydney suffered a 28-24 loss to the Eels last Sunday, their third loss in five games, to slide down to fourth on the NRL ladder, two points off the pace.
