Almost 2,000 complimentary tickets have already been redeemed and due to overwhelming demand, CEO, Steve Burraston today announced the two for one offer.
"This week is all about celebrating Newcastle Ladies in Rugby League and opening the door much wider for their involvement in our club and sport," said Mr Burraston.
"We realise Rugby League has traditionally been a male dominated sport and we are all about breaking down any barriers that may exist."
The Newcastle Knights raised money for the White Ribbon Society and important awareness about domestic violence at today's Ladies in League Luncheon, launching the club's Round 24 Ladies Day promotion ? a Newcastle-first event.
Sold out within two weeks of going on sale, more than 260 ladies were treated to gift packs on arrival from event sponsors, Cage For Hair, fashion parades by Intimo and Ideals and Lillies Boutique, and performances from Catherine Britt.
A line up of guest speakers was headlined by Matilda's Captain, Sheryl Salisbury and Member for Newcastle, Jodi McKay.
"Having seen first hand the work that went into today's event I'm not surprised the day has been such a success," Mr Burraston said.
"I'm extremely proud of the organising committee who have dedicated countless hours outside their normal duties to make this Newcastle-first initiative a reality.
"I said yesterday that behind every good man there is often an even better woman and I'm sure that is the case at our club.
"This week-long ladies in rugby league celebration is the first of many future events planned for this important sector of our supporter base," said Mr Burrason.
Ladies Day at EnergyAustralia Stadium kicks off at 3.25pm this Saturday when the Central Newcastle Knights host the Newtown Jets prior to the Knights NYC v Cowboys.
The main game gets underway at 7.30pm with the Knights facing a must-win hit out against North Queensland.
A handful of complimentary tickets are still available at the Knights Kingdom Supporters Store. The two for one offer is only available on match day and can only be redeemed by ladies wearing Knights colours.
To take advantage of both offers ladies must enter the ground by 6pm.
"This is a must win game for our First Grade team and we're hoping Newcastle will again turn out in big numbers and in fine voice to help keep our finals hopes alive."
