Source: www.sharks.com.auIn a positive development regarding the Trent Barrett injury scare, x-rays and scans have cleared Sharks five eighth of any serious damage.
Barrett, who was injured in the 50th minute of the match against his old club the Dragons, had been taken by ambulance to the nearby St George Hospital where he underwent a series of tests.
X-rays, as well as CT and MRI scans cleared Barrett of any serious injury and he was released from hospital at around 9.00pm last night (Sunday).
Sharks Doctor David Givney explained the scans results and was relieved the injury wasn't as serious as it possibly could have been.
"It has all been good news," Dr Givney said. "The CT and MRI scans have come back normal, with no boney or ligamentous injury and the symptoms are slowly resolving."
Barrett will be assessed today (Monday), however the initial diagnosis indicates he will not miss more than a couple of matches, which will be good news to Sharks coach Ricky Stuart, especially considering the current injury toll.

Source: www.rleaguebetting.comSouth Sydney have a golden chance to claim 2nd position on the NRL ladder when they entertain the Knights in Gosford.
You can get top odds for the Bunnies of $1.55 at
Pinnacle Sports, while the Knights are $2.70 at
Sports Alive,
Sportingbet, and
Sportsbet.
The Knights are renowned for heroic backs-to-the-wall efforts, but expect Souths to regain their mojo in this clash -
Sports Alive are paying $2.90 for a 13+ victory.
Centrebet have some great odds on the Rabbitohs playmakers being
1st Try Scorer - you can get $21 for Sandow (lowest price is $15), $21 for Sutton (lowest price also $15), or $26 for Isaac Luke (lowest price is $16).

BetCris, while the Sharks are an attractive $3.14at
Pinnacle Sports. The Dragons are usually a heavily backed team, whichmakes their price below true market odds. So consider the Sharks with 8 points start @1.93, also at Pinnacle.
Local derbies often produce tough, low scoring affairs, so it's worth considering a penalty goal as the
first scoring play.
You can get top odds of $11.50 of a Sharks penalty opening the scoring at
Centrebet, or $10 for a Dragons penalty at
Sports
AliveTrent Barrett is $2.50 at Sportingbet to score a try against his old club, whilst Jason Nightingale is the favourite to be 1st Try Scorer. He's paying top odds of $12 with Sports Alive.
