Source: www.rleaguebetting.comThe traditional ANZAC Day clash between the Roosters and Dragons has thrown up more than the odd upset over the last few years.
Take
Pinnacle Sport's top odds of $2.50 for a Roosters victory, or $1.97 for the Roosters with 4.5 start. The best odds you'll get for the Dragons are $1.73 for them to win inside 80 minutes, from
Stan James.
The Roosters have come charging like a bull out of the gate in a lot of their matches this year, and
Bet365 are paying $2.20 that they'll win the
race to 10 points. However, they've also been run down on more than one occasion, and
SportsBet are paying $8 for a Roosters/Dragons
HT/FT Double.
Shaun Kenny Dowell and Brett Morris are favourites to be
1st Try Scorer. You can get $13 for Kenny Dowell at
Sports Alive, and $13 for Morris at
Sportingbet.
Centrebet are providing a comparatively good quote of $21 for Jamie Soward, with other agencies as low as $15.
Click Here to Compare Odds on Roosters vs DragonsMelbourne vs Warriors has the potential to be the match of the round. It's hard to look past the $2.89 odds of a Warriors victory from
Pinnacle Sports or the Warriors with 6 points start @ $2.04, also from Pinnacle. If you must take Melbourne, there's good value in
Sports Alive's quote of $5.50 for a 1-12 win.
Take the $1.83 odds from
Bet365 that 35 or more points will be scored in this match, and the $3.25 odds from
Sportingbet that either team will win by less than 7 in the
TriBet market.
Consider Lance Hohaia ($2.25) and Greg Inglis ($2.10) to score a try at any time during the match from
Sportingbet. Sportingbet are also top odds for favourite Billy Slater to be
1st Tryscorer at odds of $11.
Click Here to Compare Odds on Storm vs WarriorsIt's going to be interesting to see which Nth Queensland side turns up at Dairy Farmers in tonight's other match. This year the Cowboys have sometimes looked as bad as the rabble from 2008 so it might be worth taking the $2.30 odds of a Manly victory from
Sports Alive. The best quote for the Cowboys is $1.71 from
Pinnacle Sports.
Stick with under 42 points being scored in the match at odds of $1.90 from
Sports Alive, and a 1-12 victory for either team from
Sportingbet - you'll get $3.25 for the Cowboys or $3.85 for Manly.
Meanwhile,
Centrebet have got some good value in the
1st Tryscorer market - you can get $26 for Whatmough (compared to $15 elsewhere), and $17 for Matai also looks attractive.

New South Wales selectors may have done Brad Fittler a favour this week by leaving Roosters big guns Braith Anasta, Willie Mason and Craig Fitzgibbon out of the preliminary State of Origin squad.
The high-profile trio will take on the Dragons with added motivation and that can only be a positive for the Roosters who have been hampered by inconsistent performance all season.
The last two weeks have been a nightmare for Fittler. He watched them fall behind 18-0 against the Broncos before fighting back to lose by four and then last week they charged to a 16-0 halftime lead against the Warriors, only to go down in golden point.
The Dragons suffered a surprise defeat against Newcastle last Saturday when they clearly missed the defensive muscle of Neville Costigan and Michael Weyman. The Knights were the first team this season to disrupt the Dragons' defence in the middle of the field but the return of the experienced duo should fix the problem.
Look to a penalty goal to either side as First Scoring Play ($8-50 each) and a Roosters/Dragons ($6-50) or Dragons/Roosters ($7-50) result in the Half/Full Double.
Best chances for First Tryscorer are Sam Perrett ($15), Iosia Soliola ($15) or Shaun Kenny-Dowall ($11) for the Roosters or Darius Boyd ($13) or Brett Morris ($11) for the Dragons.
