As victories go, a 13-10 win over a struggling Parramatta side on a murky night in Sydney's west might not rank high among the game's epic performances, but after nine straight losses the Sharks were happy to take two competition points any which way they could.
With the monkey off their backs, the Sharks figure they can now get down to the business of resurrecting their season. And with the worst of the off-field dramas seemingly behind them and with the Paul Gallen issue laid to rest, the pressure has eased appreciably for Ricky Stuart and his men.
The Sharks are every chance of knocking over a Warriors' side whose form has ebbed and waned erratically for much of the season. They mastered typically wet conditions to knock over the Wests Tigers last Sunday afternoon but they have rarely been seen at their best in Australia this season
In fact, not since they came from behind to beat Manly back in round 2, have they returned home as victors.
Cronulla have beaten the Warriors in three of the last four clashes at Toyota Stadium, including a resounding 24-8 win last season.
Look to a penalty goal to either side as First Scoring Play and consider a Warriors/Sharks or Sharks/Warriors outcome in Half/Full Double betting.
Players to consider for First Tryscorer include Luke Covell or Blake Ferguson for Cronulla or Kevin Locke, Manu Vatuvei or Wade McKinnon for the Warriors.
