Source: RleagueBetting.comTwin brothers Brett and Josh Morris were heavily backed favourites at the TAB to be 1st Try Scorers in their respective Friday Night NRL Matches.
You could almost hear the punters' triumphant yells as the brothers dotted over the white line. But rleaguebetting.com can reveal that punters have shot themselves in the hip pocket - losing out on close to $140,000 by not shopping around for the best prices.
TABSportsbet paid out a whopping $250,000 for the twins, with Brett Morris (Dragons) quoted at $7, and centre Josh Morris (Bulldogs) $7.50. However, the top price on offer from various online corporate bookmakers for both players was $11, meaning that the punters could have been paid out $390,000 - a staggering $140,000 extra and a 64% increase in profits.
People use the internet every day to save money. From cheaper phone calls, to cheaper travel, to cheaper insurance - the everyday Australian can save money by using comparison websites to see where the best value is on almost any product they wish to purchase. Rleague.com has a sister site
www.rleaguebetting.com which provides a free to use odds comparison service for Australian Punters, letting them get the best value for their dollar and increase their profits when they win.
The TAB has for many years had a monopoly on betting advertising in Australia. Now the corporate bookmakers are competing on a level playing field, and they are offering punters more options and better value. Rleaguebetting.com is an ideal website to help punters to get the best value they can on every single bet they make.

Try scoring freaks the Morris twins continued their pillaging of TAB Sportsbet coffers last night with another 1st scoring double.
Repeating their round 13 effort the boys both scored the first try tonight in their respective matches and in doing so ripped $250,000 out of the TAB Sportsbet coffers.
This represents a net loss of $157,000 for followers of the boys.
Brett ($7) scored in the 2nd minute for St George Illawarra against Wests Tigers while Josh ($8) waited until the 23rd minute to cross for the Dogs against Nth Qld.
Loyal supporters cleaned up with the double returning them $56 for every $1 invested.
This takes the total losses incurred to well over $500,000 in the last 6 weeks.
Josh has now scored 9 tries in 10 matches with Brett crossing for 13 from 13.
The Bulldogs defeated North Queensland 30-18 at ANZ Stadium last night with the Dragons producing an impressive first half to down the Wests Tigers 21-10 with both sides in equal first position.
The last time two brothers faced off in a Grand Final was in 1986 when the Bugden brothers opposed each other. Geoff played prop for Parramatta and Mark was hooker for Canterbury when the Eels won an arm wrestle 4-2 in the only try-less Grand Final in NSW/NRL history.
The father of the twins, Steve Morris, played in two Grand Finals for St George and ironically both were against Canterbury. The Dragons won the 1979 Grand Final 17-13 with referee Greg Hartley allowing a blatant forward pass for a St George first half try in what was otherwise a classic duel between Morris and Canterbury legend Steve Mortimer. In 1985 the Bulldogs got square winning 7-6 in one of the most brutal Grand Finals. The difference between the two sides was a drop-goal by Andrew Farrar, which was the only one-pointer he kicked in 185 first grade games for Canterbury and he later coached the Dragons from 2000 to 2002.
What price of Morris v Morris in the 2009 NRL Grand Final?
This author put a lazy $10 on a Bulldogs v Dragons decider on 4th March 2009 when the odds were a whopping $206. With the recruitment of Wayne Bennett for the Dragons and the cleanout of the perennial under-achicvers that have plagued the Saints in recent years and the impressive off-season build up and change of coaches at the Bulldogs. Using the basics of choosing the team with the most significant off-field recruit up against the team with the strongest on-field recruitment - the odds of $206 was simply too tempting.
Meanwhile, the
Bankstown City Bulls NSW Cup match against Cronulla originally scheduled for 3pm today at the Crest in Bass Hill has been transferred to the
Terry Lamb Complex in Chester Hill with kick off at 7:30pm tonight.
