Wed May 12, 2010 Source: www.titans.com.auThe Jetstar Gold Coast Titans have today accepted the decision by NYC prop Ronnie Alovili to stand down indefinitely from playing without pay after being involved in an off-field incident. The under-20s player advised the club of an incident earlier today and the Jetstar Titans have swiftly conducted a preliminary investigation into the matter and accepted the player's offer to stand down pending the matter being resolved in the future by the Queensland Police and the courts. "The club considers this a very serious matter," said Jetstar Titans Managing Director Michael Searle. "However the matter is now before the courts and we are not prepared to prejudice the case by commenting about the incident. "The club will conduct a full investigation of the matter after the Queensland Police investigation and after the matter has been dealt with by the courts. It is at this time at which the player's future will be determined."
