Source: www.leedsrugby.comLeeds Rhinos prop Ryan Bailey has been ruled out of this Thursday's clash with Bradford Bulls however Lee Smith and Matt Diskin return for the World Champions.
Bailey suffered a groin injury in the 48-0 win over Harlequins last Friday and he has failed to recover fully in time for Thursday clash with the Bulls at Headingley Carnegie, kick off 8pm.
There was good news though for Head Coach Brian McClennan as winger Lee Smith has been cleared to return after picking up a hip injury at Castleford a fortnight ago. Matt Diskin is available again after serving his one match suspension.
McClennan has also promoted exciting young back rower Danny Allan to his 19 man squad for this week's game. Allan, 18, was one of four players to be elevated to the first team squad last week after impressing in the club's Academy set up. Last season he scored 17 tries in just 11 appearances for the Junior Academy as they won their Championship and he has also played for England U18 in 2007.
Commenting on the squad McClennan said,
"It is disappointing that Ryan will not be available this week. He picked up the injury against Quins and unfortunately, with the game being on Thursday this week, he has just run out of time to be right. There is a good chance he will be available for Hull on Monday and we will continue to monitor the injury.
"With Danny Allan following in the footsteps of Luke Burgess, Ben Kaye and Simon Worrall we are excited about bringing new people in to the group. Each has earned their place on merit and it is great to give them their opportunity. We are pleased to have Matt Diskin and Lee Smith back available this week which certainly makes for a competitive squad ahead of a big game on Thursday," added McClennan.
The squad in full is:
1 Brent Webb
2 Scott Donald
4 Keith Senior
5 Lee Smith
7 Rob Burrow
8 Kylie Leuluai
9 Matt Diskin
10 Jamie Peacock
11 Jamie Jones Buchanan

Source: www.leedsrugby.comGrand Final winning prop Ryan Bailey has been named in Brian McClennan's 20 man squad for Saturday's clash with Hull KR at Headingley Carnegie, kick off 6pm.
Bailey missed the recent pre-season trip to Florida whilst he recovered from a groin strain however he will return to the squad for the season opener this weekend.
That means that Brian McClennan is able to include all 17 players who won the Grand Final for the Rhinos back in October with Nick Scruton, Jordan Tansey and Ryan Hall making up McClennan's first 20 man squad.
The Rhinos are anticipating a bumper crowd for Saturday's clash. Hull KR have already sold out their allocation of tickets for the Western Terrace however tickets remain available for the South Stand and Carnegie Terrace whilst there are limited amounts of seats left available.
To help ease congestion at the turnstiles, fans are being urged to arrive early to watch both club's respective Reserve Academy sides go head to head.
The Rhinos side includes first team squad members Ashley Gibson, Danny Williams, Luke Burgess, Ben Kaye and Jamie Thackray. Kick off is 3.45pm with admission included in the ticket price for the first team game.
