Cowboys NRL and NYC teams v Rabbitohs

North Queensland Coach Ian Millward has named his side for the Cowboys crunch clash against fellow wooden spoon candiates South Sydney at Dairy Farmers Stadium.

The clash is an important one as the Cowboys, Rabbitohs and Bulldogs are locked in a three-way battle for the dreaded prize with the Cowboys now moving into favourites.

Johnathan Thurston will be unavailable on State of Origin duty making the Cowboys plans to stop a poor losing streak stretching to eight matches.

Millward has named youngster Brandon Boor on the bench, who becomes the 25th player to progress from the Toyota Cup to Telstra Premiership.
