Brown looking forward to Bulls clash
Thu June 7, 2007
Source: www.giantsrl.com

Huddersfield Giants in-form half back Kevin Brown is looking forward to facing the Bradford Bulls for the second time in three weeks but admits that Sunday's cup clash will be a totally different proposition.

"The league victory against them will give us a bit of confidence going into the game but we know it will be very tough and a completely different game this time around. They had a few players out in the league game and we'll have to play well if we are to get through to the semi finals."

And Brown admits that it will be a great game with both sides in good form:

"We're a pretty confident team and I'm sure they will be confident going into the game. It's going to be a good battle and a very physical game. Everytime you travel to Odsal you know it's going to be really tough and we have to be switched on if we are going to get anything out of the game."

The Giants star is also enjoying his partnership with Vice-Captain Brad Drew:

"Im loving it. Brad is a really clever player and he makes things tick. I just hope we can play well off the back of him this weekend."

With the prospect of playing at the new Wembley becoming closer as each round goes by, Brown admits that it would be a dream come true to play there.

"It would be awesome. I remember going to Wembley a few times as a fan and it is a really special day out for the supporters. I've played in a final at Cardiff and that was terrific but with Wembley's tradition it would be a dream come true to play there. We have to put that out of our mind though and go no further than Sunday. It's a big task to beat Bradford but you have to beat the best teams to get to the cup final."

The Giants travel to the Grattan Stadium, Odsal this Sunday 10th June kick off 2.15pm, in the Quarter Final of the Carnegie Challenge Cup and supporters can make huge savings by pre-purchasing prior to Sunday. The Galpharm Stadium Ticket Office Hotline is 0870 44 44 552.

Huddersfield Giants have signed Kevin Brown from Wigan Warriors, on loan, until the end of the season.

The 22-year-old outside back goes straight into the Giants squad for Sunday's game against Leeds Rhinos at the Galpharm Stadium.

Brown who stands at 178cm and weights 87kgs has made over 50 Super League appearances for Wigan and was a member of the Great Britain 40 named for the 2005 Tri Nations.

Giants Head Coach Jon Sharp said:

"Kevin will be a very good addition to our squad. He is a skilful player who is also versatile giving us a lot more options in our outside backs. He has tremendous potential and I am looking forward to working with him."
