Wakefield born Chester was taken from the field ten minutes into Hull FC's victory over Leeds on Friday (August 4th) after suffering an ankle injury. It was originally feared that he would need an operation and reports suggested he could be sidelined for six months, however the second rower received some comforting news yesterday when he visited a surgeon in North Wales who assessed the full extend of the injury. The surgeon confirmed he had torn ankle ligaments and also damaged tendons, however he has been told the injury is not as serious as first thought and he is likely to be out of action for only 6-8 weeks.
