Dale goes on loan to Wakefield

Back row forward Matty Dale has joined engage Super League rivals Wakefield Trinity Wildcats on a months loan.

The 21-year old has not been able to break into the side after early season injuries and when Wakefield came in for him Hull felt a move to Belle Vue would benefit Dale and help him gain invaluable Super League experience.

Over the last couple of years Dale's progress has been hit by injuries. He was out for a lengthy spell in 2006 with a shoulder injury and then a hamstring injury this year kept him on the sidelines.

In a bid to give him more experience than the under 21 (reserve) competition can offer, Dale was loaned out to National League sides Whitehaven and Featherstone last season.

Dale has only made four Super League appearances for Hull and scored two tries in those games.

He is out of contract at the end of the season and Hull want to give the youngster every opportunity to prove himself between now and the end of the season.
