Geddes returns for Bears v Knights rematch

After destroying the Knights undefeated status in round six of the VB Premier League, the Bears will again face the Knights at Energy Australia Stadium on Friday night.

Scott Geddes Returns for the match in an otherwise unchanged side coming off a dominate win against the Sharks last weekend 31-12.

Scott, together with Joe Galuvao, Fetuli Talanoa and Isaac Luke were instrumental in the hard fought defensive match against Newcastle and will no doubt be keen on a repeat performance.

Brad Lupi returns to the starting pack for the North Sydney Jersey Flegg side to play Newcastle on Saturday at Cessnock.

The Bears Premier League take on Newcastle at Energy Australia Stadium at 5:30pm. on Friday 29th June. The North Sydney Jersey Flegg side take on Newcastle at Baddeley Park, Evans St, Cessnock at 3:00pm. on Saturday 30th June.

The Real Insurance Rabbitohs are pleased to announce their side to take on the Newcastle Knights in round 20 of the NRL Telstra Premiership this Saturday, 22 July at 7:30pm at EnergyAustralia Stadium.

Prop forward Scott Geddes returns to the Rabbitohs' pack after serving his one-week suspension. The Rabbitohs' backline will include Todd Polglase and Germaine Paulson in the centres with Paul Mellor returning to the first grade side this week.

Rabbitohs' Luke Stuart (ruptured ACL in knee - season), Luke MacDougall (fractured thumb - 6-8 weeks), Shannon Hegarty (shoulder arthroscope - 2-4 weeks), Shane Walker (groin strain - 1-2 weeks), Shannan McPherson (groin strain - 4-6 weeks), and Adam MacDougall (virus) were not considered for selection due to injury.

The Premier League match will kick off at 5:30pm on Saturday night with the Jersey Flegg game between South Sydney Juniors and Newcastle commencing at 3:50pm. The referee for the first grade fixture is Gavin Badger.
