McGuire to replace Hannant in Queensland blockbuster

Josh McGuire will get the starting spot he is looking for after he was named to replace Ben Hannant against the Cowboys this Friday night.

Hannant will miss the trip to Townsville with a hip flexor problem that could keep him out for a week or two.

But it will give McGuire a chance after showing solid form from the bench since returning from a nasty eye injury.

McGuire will fill the number eight jersey with David Hala returning from Queensland Cup to take up a spot on the bench.

They are the only changes to the team that beat the New Zealand Warriors 21-20 last Saturday night.

Hannant not afraid of Storm

NRMA Insurance Broncos' Ben Hannant says his team is more than confident for the challenging away match against Melbourne Storm, this Friday night.

"We're looking forward to it and we have the players to do it, and it's just a matter of putting a good 80 minutes together", says Hannant.

The Broncos are well aware of the Storm's power, who are currently top of the NRL Ladder.

"Everything they do, they do together, and that's what makes a good NRL team", says Hannant.

"They're very good at every aspect of the game ... we've got to make sure we do everything right this week and stay in the grind with them for the whole 80 minutes".

A positive Hannant says the Broncos are focused on staying on the ball and shutting down Melbourne's opportunities, with a clear-cut game plan to win the match.

"The extra one percent in everything they do is perfect ... we've got to make sure we do that, we've got to stay with them and go past them.

"We're going to go out there and make sure no matter where it is or who we're against, we're prepared to get the result."
