Sat June 24, 2006 by Mike Callaghan Source: Leigh Centurions Leigh Centurions have strengthened their 1st team squad with the signing of Bryn Hargreaves from Wigan Warriors. Hargreaves has signed a one month loan and will go straight into the 1st team squad for the trip to Whitehaven this weekend. The Centurions squad has been hit by a run of injuries that has seen Tony Benson training with 12 fit players. The Centurions have also announced today that James Taylor has signed a new four-year contract that will keep him at the club until 2010. Head Coach Tony Benson commented, "I am very pleased James Taylor has agreed a new contract. Following Chris Hill's contract extension we are making the right moves in keeping the best youngsters at the club to build a very strong youthful side.
"James has played exceptionally well and to have him in our squad for the next four years is sending out the message that we are building a strong squad. Wigan Chairman Maurice Lindsay said, "Bryn is a fine player and I'm sure his time will come in the future. He is not in our first team at the moment although he did a fine job earlier in the year We have allowed him to go to Leigh to get further experience and we wish him good luck."Head Coach Brian Noble added, "We have now assisted several clubs in the National League including Widnes and Leigh and we are still in discussions with other clubs concerning some of our players.
