The Toyota Cowboys will promote NYC five-eighth Michael Parker-Walshe to their NRL squad next year, while Queensland Residents representative prop Luke Harlen will also be part of North Queensland's playing staff in 2012.
To cap off a week of signings that has also included fullback Matthew Bowen and Sydney Roosters centre Kane Linnett, Parker-Walshe and Harlen have each signed one-year deals.
Parker-Walshe, who turned 20 in March, has been one of the key figures in the Cowboys team which is currently third on the Toyota Cup ladder after also making the finals last year.
The former Queensland under-18 representative has crossed for a team-high 15 tries this season and is also regarded as one of the most creative players in the under-20s competition.
Harlen plays for the Northern Pride in the Intrust Super Cup competition and was in the Residents squad that thrashed NSW Residents at Suncorp Stadium earlier this season.
He previously played five NRL games with the Cowboys in 2008-09 and he also made five appearances for Cronulla, including three last season.
Harlen is a former student of Kirwan High School In Townsville, is a former Australian Schoolboys representative, and played junior rugby league for Centrals.

Source: www.sharks.com.auFollowing an incident in a Sydney hotel last Saturday evening two Sharks contracted players have been severely reprimanded and fined.
After extensive investigations by the Sharks club, which included the viewing of security video and the interviewing of hotel management and staff, Darren Mapp has been fined a substantial amount for behaviour seen by the Sharks club as being totally unacceptable.
A second player, Luke Harlen, has been fined a lesser amount for minor indiscretions at the same hotel.
These were the only two incidents reported by management which involved Sharks players with several senior players in fact complimented by management and staff of the hotel in question for their cooperation. No official complaint was lodged by the hotel in relation to the reported incidents.
